0,75l bottle at home. BB 30.04.2023. yellow hazy color, small white head. smells of apples, leathery, bit peppery, subtle quince, pears, subtle fruit sweetness. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of apples, bit peppery, earthy, grassy, spices, parfumy, subtle quince, pears, light minerals. finishes rather balanced with a light dryness and notes of apples, quince and minerals. nice stuff, not the most expressive cider, but overall very good one.
12 February 2022. At Winter Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks for hosting, Tim, and cheers to the whole crew!
Vintage 20/21, bottled 4/2021. Clear yellow, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of fresh apple, pear, quince, vague unripe peach, wheat. Taste has sweet-sour freshly cut yellow apple, quince & lemon, bit wheaty and bready. Tart, dry, lots of apples, bit grape-like woody even. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Feels dry and noble, nice.
Pours hazed, warm yellow. Small white head. Scent is full, funky (brett). Surprisingly, apples are more intense than the quince. Taste is sharp, tart, dry, quince far more on the front here. Trough the dryness, the cider doesn't feel thin at all. lovely, although I (as per usual) prefer a cider with a touch of sweetness, over the 100% dry ones.
12/II/22 - 75cl bottle @ BBGG Winter 22, BB: n/a, 2020/2021 vintage (2022-157) Thanks to kraddel for sharing the bottle!
Pretty cloudy orange blond beer, big creamy bit irregular head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: funky, lots of fresh apples, juicy, apple skin, some tannins, wood notes, lovely! MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of apples and quince, pretty bitter, funky, dry tannins, soft acidity. Aftertaste: more sourness, little lemony, sour apples, very fruity, dry finish, good, love it!
Magnumist. Mõnusalt hapu, kuiv, õunane, puuviljane ja samas mitte happeline. Hea. 3.8
75cl bottle, merci à Isaac, Jafre, Catalunya beer tasting. BB 30/04/2023, lot# 2021/04/02.
Light hazy golden colour. Nose of tart apples, quince, straw, wood. Taste is rather dry, fruity and tannic. Great cider.
