440ml can from the brewery. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is big coffee. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, malt, dry coffee, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Drinkable, but a rather simple beer to which a load of coffee was added.
Can from Gedeelde Vreugde. Hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, tan head. Aroma of mocha, coffee roast, dried leaves, damp earth, walnut shell, hard caramel, raisin, dried banana. Taste has sweetish apple, pear & plum in a caramelly, nutty, brown-bready malt body with earthy coffee notes underneath. Herbal hoppy finish, bit peppery, quite nutty, more mocha and coffee roast, soft alcohol warmth (coffee liqueur). Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. It does what you'd expect from a Bock and the coffee is a nice extra.

440ml can bought at Brewdog Shoreditch. Shared with Finn. Fawn-coloured head, brown-reddish body, misty, clingy lacing. Prominent aroma of coffee, hints of caramel-fruit. Mixed taste of coffee and dried fruits, mid-sweet. Slightly roasted bitter coffee endnotes. Just alright. (Hotel Room, London 15.11.2021).
