Bottle from Needle and Pin Loughborough. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are muscavado sugar. Chocolate and slight vanilla, hints of bourbon. Sweet and not really boozy. Smooth rich body.
Massive maple syrup and bourbon behind with coffee and milk chocolate caramel sweets. Not in a garbage pastry stout way.
375 ml waxed bottle, batch #1390, 2020 vintage (Rackhouse series), Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 13.5%. Pitch black colour, large to moderate tan head. Lovely aroma of roast malts, bourbon whiskey, oak (or maple) and vanilla. Rich and warming mouthfeel. The sweet flavour has the same elements as the aroma, also notes of caramel, liquorice and chocolate, moderate bittering hops. An excellent beer!
Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is very full, roasty. Mild maple, nice bourbon profile (vaniline, woody) . Pretty refined. Taste is full, roasty, mild sweetness, rather mild maple. Bourbon oak. Amazing balance, fullbodied, medium to medium low carbo. Fine bitterness. Lovely !
