This Druif features the Muscaris variety, a crossing between Solaris and Muskateller. This rather young variety originates from the Freiburg region in Germany and combines an intense muscat bouquet with a higher sugar density than other Muscat varieties (especially when harvested slightly late).

Anyhow, we put the grape must with fifteen-months old lambik on a small oak foeder. The lambikken that we used for blending, was a three-year old lambik (and makes up more than 10% of the total volume).

The final fruit intensity is 469 grams of Muscaris grapes per litre of Druif. 100% 3 Fonteinen brewed lambik.

Bottle. Clear golden. Spicy grapes, kiwi, lychee, solid funk and oak, dry spicy tannins with some tobacco and fresh oak, apricot. Medium sweet, lighter bitter and sour. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Very vineous, but I quite like it.

Bottle (blend 16) shared at tasting. Oranged golden color, no head. And then I was drunk and forgot to finish the rating...

Draft @ Billie's 2021, shared with Brewver BE crew.

Draught No head, clear darker golden beer. Rainwater, farmyard, white grape. Dry grapes flavour, demi-sec white wine, fruitsugars and a lining of fruitacids. Low carbonation, lipsmacking acidity, acidthinning and light -burn. Nice, if not the top of 3Fonteinen.

12/XI/21 - sample from 75cl bottle @ Billies Craft Beer Festival Day 1 (Waagnatie, Antwerp), BB: n/a (2021-1280) Thanks to the Brewver crew and other beer buddies for sharing today’s beers!

Clear bright pale orange beer, no head. Arom sweet, very fruity, white grapes, juicy, lovely! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, very fruity, grapes, funky, bitter, grapeskin, brett notes, pretty dry. Aftertaste: bitter, quite some tannins, bit metallic, grape peels, bit weird and soapy, unpleasant bitterness, not a big fan of this one.
