Aoltbeer is the historic beer of Münster. The beers in this blend matured on average for 14 months in red wine barrels. In this time the beer developed its fruity and wine-like character. To this small batch no. 11-2021 we added locally grown "Hauszwetschge" plums. This luscious beer let you feel the last rays of the summer sun. Product with taste evolution in the bottle.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy reddish amber. Soft lactic notes, funk, dry wine, oak, quetsche, light herbal, grape skins. Dry and tannic fruits meet a sweet/sour velvety beer. A great balance here. Really works well together. Yum.

75cl bottle. A clear dark golden beer with a white lacing. Aroma of sour plums, grapes and oak. Taste of sour plums, red berries, grapes, some oak.

Süffiger, deutlich säuerlicher Beginn. Spritzig, Pflaume, reife Beeren. Etwas brotig, geringe Herbe, etwas dumpfe Bitterkeit. Sauer bleibend, lässt einem das Wasser im Mund zusammenlaufen. Spritzig, langer Nachhall. 9/11/12/11/9/11

0,75l bottle at home. Batch 11/21. BB 15.08.2031. orange hazy color, small white head. smells earthy, musty, spices, some wood, light plums, stone fruits, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, grassy, stone fruits, plums, bit lactic, grassy, subtle funk, hay, citrus. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of citrus, stone fruits and some hay. nice stuff, very good balance, love the stone fruit notes.
