Bottle, courtesy of and enormous, GINORMOUS thanks to Papsoe! Shared with Rauchbierlover and ppl at Valhalla Beer Club, Prague. Pitch black body, some traces of a grayish head if I remember correctly. Butter, bourbon, cocoa, dough, light black malt and light marzipan, along with a good alcohol presence fight it out in the aroma. The taste is... well... of a very good bourbon barrel stout, smooth and sweet, but lean enough, not overwhelming or cloying - raisins, licorice, dried figs, good malty backbone, complex enough, sure, with a noted alcohol presence, but for nearly 19% - it's to be expected, and even lighter than one would expect, definitely not excessive or, rather, aggressive for my tastes. This is definitely a beast, and it was an honor to try it!
