Can at home. Deep chocolate brown colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted bitter cocoa. With a slight orange sweetness. Medium body.
440ml can at the Wrekin Inn, Wellington Shropshire on 20th September 2022. Black body, smooth beige foam on top. Orange, chocolate orange, would have gone great with a Terry's Chocolate Orange. Nice rich body for the ABV, nice 'nightcap'.
Almost black with thin creamy head. Really roasted aroma with plenty of dark malts. Quite full and pleasant mouthfeel. Roasted malt flavour with a weird orange cordial aftertaste.
Sample at the red lion JDW. Medium creamy beige head. Clear black pour. Hint of orange. Very smooth.
440ml can from the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt and orange citrus. The flavour is light sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, light tart orange, light chocolate palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The orange certainly dominates the chocolate.
