Can shared by Erik. Black with almost no head. Chocolate monstrosity with quite a kick of booze. Some roast underneath, but mostly dark chocolate and liquorice.
Strong and sweet
16 oz can from Tavour. Black oil slick of a pour, dark brown head dissipates to flat. Sweet, roasty aroma with a hint of spice. Taste features chocolate, mild snappy, spicy flavors, deep roast grains, burnt toast. Full creamy mouth feel, mouth coating too.
13 April 2019. At First Timternational Beer Tasting, Ghent. Cheers to Ghent beer crew! Pours cloudy black with a lasting, very thin, dark beige head. Aroma of black olive, mushroom, kahlua, fondant, cashew, praliné, sweet tobacco, gravy, booze. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, lots of chocolate praliné & cream, vaguely sticky toffee-like; revolving around a medium bitter core with roasted notes of toast & tobacco, spicy accents of garden herbs, meanwhile quite umami as well, hinting at black olive, gravy & soy sauce. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, lingering spices, tobacco, gravy, chocolate, coffee, and a firm dash of rum- or whisky-like alcohol. Full body, creamy, bit sticky texture, soft carbonation. This has ‘a lot of everything’, in that it’s complex but also going in all directions. Full, that much is certain, but heavy to drink. Nevertheless, you don’t meet a beer like this every day.

13/IV/19 - 1Pt. can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ Timternational Beer Geek Tasting, Gentse Biervereniging (Gent), BB: n/a - (2019-491)
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige to brown head, little stable, non adhesive. aroma: band-aid, pretty chemical, bit roasted, lots of phenols, rather unpleasant. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet adn sugary, malty, lots of caramel, bit spicy, nice roast, more alcohol, too sweet and sticky. Not a big fan.
473ml can! Big Ass Money Stout 3. Pours pitch black like oil, with a rapidly dissipating tan dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roast malts, caramel, syrup. Taste is sweet, chocolatey, syrup, roast malts, caramel, dried fruits, boozy and warming, though less than expected for 17.2%! Full bodied, very thick like an oil slick, smooth. Surprisingly nice.
Black and oily with no head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of heavily roasted malts and a lot of warming alcohol. There's also a smokey bacon element.
16 ounce can into snifter, canned on 5/23/2018. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky dark brown head with insane retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Insane appearance. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, brown sugar, fudge, brownie batter, roasted nuts, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, and dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, wood, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/black/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, brown sugar, fudge, brownie batter, roasted nuts, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, and dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, wood, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal, roast, char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, brown sugar, fudge, brownie batter, roasted nuts, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, dark bread, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, charcoal, wood, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of ark/black/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a solid roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying sweetness after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety, and slightly slicky/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mildly increasing warmth of 17.2%, with no booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an insane huge imperial stout! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV, with the very mildly bitter/drying finish. Insanely rich malt complexity; with mild fruity yeast and earthy hops against sweetness. A highly amazing offering, and top tier style example. This was a pretty significant improvement over the one brewed at Lervig years ago. A lot less bitter, charred, drying, and fruity on the yeast. Also a lot less boozy on the alcohol.
