Pours black, OK grey head. Smell is very roasty, burnt malts. Mild hazelnut, no clear vanilla. Taste is sharp, roasty, mild bitterness. Some distant hazelnut, no clear vanilla. Thin mouthfeel ( I know, it’s low ABV, but still ) OK carbo.

Draught @ William K. Tennispalatsi. Poured black color with a thin off brown head. Aroma has nuts and vanilla sugar. Nutty, malty, sweet vanilla flavor. Very drinkable dessert for sure, but too sweet for me.

33cl can at home. Clear, very dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Notes of roasted malts, dark cherries, smoke, dark chocolate and just a hint of vanilla and hazelnut, both of these flavors feeling a bit artificial. Luckily, they are quite subtle, because otherwise this is a well-made roast-forward stout. Surprisingly good for its ABV.

Draught at the grand opening of the brewery tap room on December 2, 2016.Clear black color, tan to light brown head. Roasted, nutty, watery, coffee taste. Roasted, burnt pop-corn, coffee beans, bitter aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Roasted, burnt pop-corn scent. Slightly metallic aftertaste as well.I tend to love my black beers more than the lighter colored range, this didn’t get my all sparkly though. A bit too heavy on the charred roasted notes and coffee, also too high CO2 for my liking, I like ’em smoother myself.
