16-06-21 // 330ml bottle.
Bottle. Pours lightly hazy golden with a big white head. Notes of bubblegummy esters, bitter hops, pale malts, floral notes. High carbonation, light bitterness, esters, malty sweetness. Classic!
Bottle. Bubblegum and wheat. Like a regular saison DuPont but with extra goodness feeling. Feels a little lighter than the regular somehow. Nice stuff. I was drunk when I wrote all of these...
Citrus aroma. Hopbitter yeasty citric flavor with a hint of vanilla. Looks like the Saison Dupont Vieille Provision, but somewhat lighter in flavor, body and aroma. Still a good beer, though.
330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours misty gold, white topping. Gentle sweet saison yeast on the nose. Seems to be less crisp and sweet than standard Saison Dupont with a gentle yeast presence, distant spice, drying close. Would like to try this fresh at the brewery to compare.
Bottle from a Carrefour in Bruges. Pours hazy orange/yellow with a minimal, lasting, white head. The aroma contains yeast, grass, hay, wheat, citrus, malt and hops. It tastes medium bitter and light sweet. Hoppy, dry finish, but quenching when served cold. Slick texture and soft carbonation. A good one.
