We aged our Parabola imperial stout for a year in premium bourbon barrels to gain depth, complexity and intensity. Then came an exotic twist—freshly toasted coconut and cocoa nibs added to the final blend to accentuate Parabola’s signature character. The result is a must-try for fans of rare barrel-aged beers. Silky coconut and mocha notes, accentuating Parabola’s prodigious flavors of chocolate, vanilla, black cherry and coffee.

Pours black with a dense light brown head that quickly recedes. Aroma's of red fruit (at first), bourbon, chocolate, roast, coffee. Retronasal it's sweetish, roasted malt, bourbon, chocolate, subtle coconut, fudge. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied, soft mouthfeel. Alcohol well hidden. Moderate bitter finish. What a treat!

Bottle thanks to Jules. Pours black with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast, coconut, vanilla, wood, bourbon. Thick body, chewy roast, dark chocolate, vanilla, coconut, boozy finish, very nice.
