Another L’Illuminé version by Antidoot, this one combining raspberries and blackberries; at the Antidoot tasting by the Gentse Biervereniging. Moussy, initially quite thick, pale pinkish-tinged, slowly dissipating head, clear vermillion-glowing ruddy copper robe. Aroma of clear ripe red raspberries, less obvious blackberries, elderberry juice, sweet cherry tomatoes, wood sorrel, unsugared yoghurt, dry rosé wine, hints of celery, hibiscus and rosehip tea. Tart, lively juicy onset, lactic and berry sourness with a slight sweet core from indeed ripe raspberries and blackberries, almost homemade blackberry lemonade-like, with that typical tomato-ish aspect from the raspberries subtly peeping round the corner; softish carb, fleshy berry effects continuing over a slender cereally base, remaining juicy and brightly fruity. Yoghurty lactic sourness further accentuates the fruitiness and keeps everything together in a light-bodied, highly elegant and ‘summery’ sour fruit ale. Could do with a bit more malt body for me, but the fruit really speaks and this whole beer bursts with ripe berry goodness – doubtlessly a very healthy drink!

dium, rather stable pink head over clear bright red beer. Raspberries dominating the nose, sweet, with hints at vanilla. Ever so slightly young hard cheese (in a good way). Nice fruity taste, more varied than in the nose: raspberry, blackberry,... Lactic and fruitacids. There's no sweetness, just the suggestion of the aromatic fruitsugars. Seriously dry, acidburn and -thinning, light dry-out effect, good carbonation. Very good sour fruitbeer. Some of Antidoot brews are stellar, this one rates just below that.
