Bottle@Musta Kynnys, Jyväskylä. Pitch black colour, small white head. Aroma is liquorice, toffee, alcohol, some chocolate too. Flavour is chocolate, liquorice, toffee alcohol, very sweet.

-1 point for the ridiculous, irritating and superfluous wax. Viscously pouring to a slowly building russet-ish brown head over jet-black beer. Alcoholpunch in the nose, but then aromatic wafts of blueberries, billberries, black chocolate, Sachertorte. More syrupy in the mouth, with black chocolate(sauce), smoked, roasted and fusels. Faint stout acidity, dark grapes making the fruity leg in the taste. Full bodied, alcoholwarming, creamy from the head. Very good Barley wine, exhibiting quite some stout features. Txs to Stef!

Bottle from Hoptimism. Thick black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are malt and boozy sweet. Bourbon. Smooth bit boozy.
