Bottle, dark brown color, slight gusher. Malty caramelly, slightly metallic aroma. Malty sweet flavor with raisin, caramel and a soft roast character. Not too bad.

0.33 l bottle from ’Hejo Slijterij’, best before February 2018. Clear, very dark red with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, moderately yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of raisins, prunes, caramel and a touch of clove. Moderately sweet, malty, quite yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity taste of caramel, dark honey, raisins, prunes and some clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Very tame Dubbel, quite inoffensive but well-drinkable.

Aroma is malt, caramel, Kandy sugar, Taste is the same, sweet, with some bitterness, nice dubbelEarlier Rating: 5/11/2015 Total Score: 3.3Bottle at home from the brewery, ruby red beer with a small head, aroma is red fruit and malts, Taste is the same, bitter sweet. not bad

Draught @ Preuf en praotlokaal De Klep, Venlo. Dark red-brown color with a full sized creamy off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, leaves, lightly earthy. Taste malts, caramel, candy sugar, brown malts, slightly sweetish, some malt bitter. Medium body, medium carbonation.
