Pours darker, unclear amber. Scent has a lot of the base BW, milder on the cognac. Some acetic acid, almost. Taste is full, bit thinner than the base version ( apparently based on Bommen en Granaten - which I do love ) Mild on the cognac
Only a shimmer of the great barleywines of Molen yore, unfortunately. Thin, I'd even say a bit watery, and quite a bit of alcohol noticable. Flavourwise it's pretty decent, though, fairly sweet, some wood, and bit of cognac.
23/IX/22 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, BB: n/a (2022-1206) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear amber beer, practically no head. Aroma: very intense, lots of alcohol, sweet impression, lots of caramel, calvados notes, cognac. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: a bit sourish at first, lots of alcohol, lots of calvados and cognac, a little bitter, hoppy, dry. Aftertaste: more alcohol, very sweet and intense flavour profile, spicy, cloves, alcohol, dry and hoppy finish.
Süffiger, etwas zu süßer Beginn. Weiche Herbe, helles Holz, minimal getreidig. Alkoholisch süß werdend, etwas Cognac. 8/7/9/7//7
