Draught No head but rim; veiled mossy-amber beer, not very carbonated. Obviously vinous nose; red wine, old wood, vineleaf, ever so slightly caramel. Old wine, old wet wood, bitter caramel. Some unfermentable sugars, it would seem. Cloved orange, chewing gum, pears in red wine. Quite slick, bit as vin doux, not very carbonated, almost sticky finish. It certainly isn't bad, has even quite nice flavours, but it appears a tad lifeless, unfortunately.
Dark blond with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of woody and vinous notes. Nice body. A little grassy in the aftertaste.
Sampled @ Borefts Bier Festival 2022. A clear deep golden beer with a white lacing. Aroma of strong grainy malt, straw, ripe fruits. Taste of ripe sweet fruits, wheat, ripe banana. Boozy finish.
Quite dry, saisony somewhere for sure, but also Alvinny and with loads of barrel. Very woody, surprisingly herbal, and vinous. The wine flavour itself is fairly subtle, but the barrel effect is pretty big. Not bad, not for me.
23/IX/22 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, BB: n/a (2022-1253) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
