200ml on tap at Mikkeller Bar. Bright naked surface, near-black body. Vinous aroma of dried fruits and sweet, dark malts. Mouth filling taste of dark fruits, chocolate malts, raisin, plums and oak vanilla. Lingering dark bitter ending joined by tingling alcohol on the tongue. Full bodied and very pleasing. A heavy, but conscious, start to a few drinking days in Copenhagen, 26.05.2011.
Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Near black, no head. Syrupu nose with some licorice. Super sweet with massive body. Lots of caramel and treacle. Thick and cloying, where the combination of roastiness and bitterness leads a tonguewrecking resiny finish. Not for me.
