Bottle at Base Camp. Wow, been a while since I tried anything from these folks I reckon. Clear golden body, white head. Minerally, very minerally aroma, lightly herbal and floral, skunk, strong at first and lightly oxidated maltiness. Minerally taste, mild yolk, soft herbal and soft floral hoppy notes, weird oxidised malty notes bringing it down. Mild bitterness at best, solid carbonation. Some interesting aspects but feels ruined by the green bottle.
Bottle from Dortmunder: thanks! Soapy and somewhat flowery aroma with just a touch of hops. Medium to full bodied. Malt, cologne, vanilla. A fair deal of hopbitterness. Boiled milk. Hints of licorice. Disappointing aroma, but the flavor is quite OK. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Zzzisch Edel Pils on 26 Aug 2019 at 12:07 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. 0.33 l bottle, best before July 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, moderately grassy-spicy, slightly floral and a little fruity aroma of fresh grass and some citrus. Slightly sweetish, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy, floral and a bit fruity taste of lots of fresh grass and some citrus, followed by a crisp, rather bitter, grassy-spicy and a bit metallic finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite tasty, very refreshing, just a bit too much metal in the finish.
330 ml bottle thanks to Nightfall. Clear pale golden color with off white head. Malty and light hoppy aroma, grainy, straw, grassy, some citrus notes. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
