75cl bottle from Tanker webshop. Pours hazy orange with a modest, white head. Wheaty and boozy with rather noticable alcohol. Sweet, strong and somewhat smooth despite the slightly disturbing alcohol. Fairly drinkable, but doesn't really work for me. --- Beer merged from original tick of Maisel & Tanker - Freaky Wheat on 17 May 2020 at 18:11 - Score: 6
0.75 l bottle from 'Flaschenfreund', best before November 2020, cellared for over a year. Almost clear, deep amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of overripe banana, honey, sultanas and some pear. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of overripe banana, honey, sultanas, apricot jam and a touch of cognac, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy and gently boozy finish. Medium to full body, just slightly effervescent and almost oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant stuff, has some Weizenbock qualities, really looking forward to the BA version now.
Dark golden pour, clear, not that much foam just a few white bubbles. Nose is sweetish, some spices and herbal. Soft. Tastes sweet, some wheat and lots of estery yeast notes. Some light herbal bitterness, smooth and sweet still. Super nice actually, enjoying this.
Really Overripe bananas, spicy cinnamon nose, very yeasty, sweet malty nose. Soft carbonation, a bit boozy, tons of bananas, spice. It ok. Hard to make an imperial wiezen. It does as good as expected
Shared @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Fruity malty beginning. Easy to drink with a heavy and rich body. Grain there, moderate smooth with sweetish hints.
75cl bottle. A clear deep golden beer with a white head. Aroma of strong riped fruits, herbs some orange fruits. Taste of riped hoppy fruits, pine, yeast, slightly boozy.
Alkoholischer, weich salzig- malziger Beginn. Rund, weich bleibend, milde konstante Herbe. Vanillig-würziger, noch leicht alkoholischer Abgang. Okay. 10/9/10/9/10/9
Bottle from UJH. Pous slightly hazy golden with whiteish head. Aroma is sweet, wheat, banana, floral, spicy. Flavor follows the nose but has also some bitterness and bit of booze. Finish is dry, sweet with some booze. Overall: good, bit too boozy.
