Bottle split on day 2 of Coconut/Cinnamon Death 2017. Pours pitch black with a small dark dense brown head. Aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chili, dry tobacco, licorice. Yuhhhhsss. Taste has lots of cinnamon, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chili fruit, roasty malt, licorice, some coffee-like peppery notes. Damn this held up well. Galaxies better than AB.

Thanks Virby44 for sharing! Teku showing dark brown with sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows intense notes of dark chocolate and baker's chocolate with a light bourbon background. The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated with a peppery mouthfeel. Dark chocolate forward and bakers chocolate throughout with a moderately intense background of bourbon. Bready malts on the end.

Bottle shared at Alex's birthday. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown head that lingers, then dissipates. Bourbon on the on the nose with kit-kat malt and big cacao nib and fudge aromas. Chili comes out on the palate with lots of oak and bourbon. More of the same lingering, ABV hidden fairly well.

Wait. Am I drinking this? How did that happen? Gorgeous beer, all the lovely flavours of the base, with some subtle barrel ageing over it. Absolutely delicious. Heavy though, and could be slightly thicker.

750 ml bottle at home shared with friends. Black color with brown bubbly head that disappears. Roasted malty aroma, cocoa, chocolate, light cinnamon, vanilla, light alcohol and wood. Sweet and light to moderate bitter taste, full of chocolate. Full silky oily to creamy body with soft carbonation.

Pours black, intense dark head, fading instantly. Smell is intense, chocolaty, roasty, full. Taste is roasty. Chocolaty, mild heat from chili. Bourbon is hidden, but can be recognized. Bit woody. Boozyness is amped up by the chili, but is still acceptable. Nice beer, but as usual with this brand, it's not as good to me as the ratings suggest.
