Rich and tasty with strong hazelnut nose and taste. Lovely chilli tones underpinning it.

1 pint from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours black, thin tan ring atop. Aroma brings rich grainy chocolate, sweet caramel, biscoff biscuit, hazelnut. All present themselves fully on the palate, with a noticeable chili kick. Flavours all seem well-presented, nicely balanced, chili kick is strong, but not obtrusive. Good stuff.

Tap at Takanoya. Nose is hazelnut, chocolate, chili spice, also some unwanted green pepper veggieness. Pitch black with brown lace. Sweet and nutty, rich chocolate, coffee, prickly chili, a bit of green but it went away nicely. Silky and smooth. Tasty stuff.

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin mostly lasting light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, massive hazelnut, chocolate vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich, roasty, hazelnut, liqouirce, chilli spice palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. It’s all about the hazelnut and chilli, but it works well. A very good beer.

Batch #001. Sweet, and remarkebly fruity. Some vanilla, loads of hazelnut, very fruity kind of peppers give the tiniest touch of heat. Chocolatey. Quite delicious, different and well made.

Can at kermis’ birthday. Slight gusher. Black with not much head. Molasses, hazelnuts, vanilla, roast, lactose, soft chilies, soft herbs, booze, fruity chilies too. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

Can at TZT. Black with no head. Sweet roasted chocolate malts, hazlenut aroma. Moderate sweet and bitter, some sour woody touch. Muted down toffee. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and lots of carbonation. No chili. Disappointing stuff.
