Pours darker, cloudy blonde. Medium sized white head. Scent is full, grainy, typical lagery yeast and refinement. Taste is full, grainy, super smooth and refined bitter back. So damn nice lager, easy drinker and just liquid quality. Could be a bit more outspoken to me, but if you prefer a high drink ability, this is it !
0,5l bottle at home bought from Bierothek Vienna. BB 04/2022. dark yellow rather hazy color, medium big white head. smells grassy, earthy, light caramel, bready, tobacco, biscuits, flour. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, grassy, tobacco, peppery, some bread, rye, light corn sirup notes. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of corn, peppery and tobacco notes. Pretty good one, but not as good as expected. Bit too heavy on the corn notes. Also drinks almost a tad heavy / not super refresing. overall good stuff though.
Backlog from this weekends Zwanze celebration at Zum Franziskaner.
10-04-21 // RB-tasting. Taster. Darker golden. Smooth grainy. Medium sweetness. A fränkische bitterness. Top start.
50cl bottle. A clear dark golden beer with a white lacing. Aroma of sweet caramelized malt, spicy hops some honey. Taste of sweet caramelized malt, grains, honey. Good!
Langer, herb-nussig-karamelliger Abgang. Mehr davon! 10/12/13/13/12/13
Bottle, HopDog. Copper coloured, offwhite cream. Juicy malt, light caramel and hay aroma. Medium to full body, dry caramel on the palate, berry notes, mint, grassy herbal, caramel notes but lean, a crisp candied apple if that makes sense, moreish.
Gravity cask at Zly Casy. As Knoblach Kellerbier. Looks like hazy amber in the krug. Malty, nutty nose, caramel light grassy hops. Sweet and malty, toasty, butty, lower than expected hop for the U lager, so I think this is different and probably this new one. Light, prickly, peppery finish but not huge bitterness. Lovely stuff.
Keg at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. Almost clear pale bronze colour, mid sized head. Floral grassy nose with some bread. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Gentle bready malt, distinct floral hops. Mid bitter finish. Seemless and soft. Moreish and pleasant.
