473ml can. A black beer with a brown head. Aroma of dark sweet roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, some herbs. Taste of strong dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, wood and hints of chili.
Fairly straight forward ET Jesus stout with some chilli. Light heat, some roast, bit of coffee, medium sweet. All perfectly drinkable, but also tad boring. Might be the age, but I'm used to more intensity from them. Could have more chilli for me.
Fudge, coffee, spicy. The more you drink the more it tastes like BBQ Pringles!
Can 330ml. @ home. [ As Evil Twin Aún Más Chili Jesús ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, moderate coffee, light burnt, light earthy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chili fruit, chocolate, dark malt, fruity malt, roasted, coffee - chocolate. IMO: nice chili warm finish not to hot. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - smooth, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20190104] 8-4-8-4-16
Bottle. Chocolate malt, pepper, and hay aroma. Black with small tan head. Sweet chocolate malt and earthy bitter hay flavor. Moderately spicy green pepper and jalapeno finish. Nice body.
Bottle: Pours oily black, with an equally oily, dark tan ring. Thick, dark chocolate, chile, smoky aroma. Flavour is bitter-sweet dark chocolate malt, burnt coffee, oak....with a nicely restrained chile burn. Alcohol heat, but not boozy. Big.....and wonderful.
330 ml bottle from trade with RobertDale. Thank you Bob! Black color with brown head. Roasted malty aroma, lots of coffee, light spicy - chili, some chocolate, cocoa, dark dried fruits. Sweet and bitter, light spicy taste like aroma. Full silky oily body with soft carbonation.
Bottle - Nice dark roasty notes with some sweetness and toffee. Jet black with a dark brown head. Deep dark roast with a nice dark chocolate and physical heat in the finish. Nicely done.
Thanks WillRun, Black but with some decent red edges. a solid espresso crema head. You get a definite espresso + habanero aroma. It’s spicy just in aroma alone. Up front, great extra roasted barley taste, with a lot of burnt coffee. the pepper is not really that intense. It fades pretty fast. Good but pretty forgettable. but one thing I can say is there’s not a lot of booziness for the ABV stated.
Bottle - Pours black with small fingernail tan head - nose/taste of chili pepper, fudge, coffee and roast chocolate cake - medium body.
