0,75l bottle at Ambasada, Zagreb shared by me. Deep red color, small pink head. smells cherries, funky, earthy, grassy, bit toasty. Very nice one smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes cherries, earthy, grassy, peppery tobacco, bit lactic. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of cherries, lactic and earthy notes. Nice stuff. Bit on the sour side but nowhere near as bad as some newer blends.

Bottle thanks to Paul. Pours a dark ruby with small pinkish head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is cherry pit, funk, vanilla, oak. Medium body, jammy, sweet cherry, oak, nice funk, enjoyed this.
Sour cherry lambic by 3F made in oak barrels that have been ‘freshly toasted’, bottle from Lambik-O-Droom, one of only 318 apparently – something tells me this is a whale in the making, but heck, let’s open the bottle and drink it the way it was intended to be. Some large, loose, purple-hued bubbles form upon pouring, but they disappear quickly – this is indeed unblended cherry lambic from a bottle; absolutely ravishing colour, a deep, intense fuchsia red with glowing ruby hue – a beautiful sight to behold and it is at this point already very clear that the cherry dosage in this one is far higher than average. Aroma follows: cooked cherry juice and cherry wine galore, overseeing subtler notes of vanilla-ish oak (though not so much ‘toasted’), wet barrel, sweat, redcurrant, elderberry, lemon juice, boiled down red wine vinegar. Extremely full cherry flavour, very real and overwhelming cherry juice effect, concentrated, tart with a sharp redcurrant- and lemon-like edge but some softening fructose sweetness within as well, almost like ripe black sweet cherries; close to no carbonation and of course none expected. Supple wheaty base completely drowned in cherry juice, vinous and softly woody in the end with retronasal sweaty Brettanomyces hints; some red wine vinegar sourness in the finish adds complexity but this remains cherry wine with a slight beery aspect to it till the very end. As an unblended cherry lambic, an absolute masterpiece, but I don’t expect anything less from this fabulous lambic proponent anyway. I assume this formula will be continued for use in blended Oude Kriek?
Bottle courtesy of kermis, big thanks, at the pre-Pre-Borefts TZT tasting at Kim Jung Un Buurtcentrum, Zd. Deep unclear ruby, massive cherries, deep ripe cherries, cooked cherries and fresh and sour cherries, marzipan, pomegranate, grenadine, rich fruity and tart. Some nutty cherrystone and oak wood. Quite sweet underneath an overpowering medium sour. Full bodied rich mouthfeel, good as no carbonation.
Bottle shared at TZT mini-pilot, Zaandam. Deep red purple with a short lived pink purple head. Aroma of rich cherries, sweet and tart with light wood notes behind the cherry onslaught. Flavour is moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Bottle shared at Kim Yong Un buurtcentrum. Almost clear deep ruby with no head. Lots of thick fresh cherries, soft funk, cherry jam, soft oak, grassy, light bready, some more sweet cherries and cherry skins, light almonds and amaretto, hay. Medium sour, almost medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with almost no carbonation.
Thx for organizing & hosing kraddel! 750 ml. bottle sampled. Remember back when they released Intense Red & people went crazy how much fruit that had & now they are churning out stuff like this – cannot complain they are killing the intense fruit game. Very dark red with no head. Massive amount of sweet & sour cherry, massively big on skins, acidic, so much cherry skin its crazy,… Sweet cherry taste & sour with massive amount of skins, almond from the pits, some lemon, amount of fruit is through the roof, amazing & truly love it. Dug it a lot more than the Oude Kriek variety which had about half of the fruit, maybe big more balanced but who cares. Thick fruit body & not really much in the way of carb as to be expected.
