Draught@CBC2016. Deep red colour, no head. Aroma is blackberries, some boysenberries, honey and mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is super sweet honey, blueberries, black currant and some mild wooden notes.

Sample @ MBCC2017. Pours deep reddish black, still. Aromas of all kinds of berries, vanilla, waffle, milk chocolate. Taste has berries, vanilla, fudge, waffles, subtle berry acidity, light honey, chocolate. Original review text: Tap @ CBC2016. Pours a deep dark purple, almost black. Oily, no bubbles, straight up slick stuff. Aromas of currants, sweet berries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, subtle vanilla, sweet honey, icecream-like stuff, tannins. Taste is a huge bomb of fruits, icecream, vanilla, white chocolate, tannins, subtle tartness in the back. The sort of sometimes overwhelming honey sweetness is completely gone, and even though this is very sweet there’s a huge balance from the subtle tartness, the fruity sweetness and the additional barrel sweetness. Incredible in every way. First 5 I’ve ever given on ratebeer but I can’t see how this shouldn’t get a 5. Can’t say I prefer this over the best beers I’ve ever had, but for what it is, I can’t see how this could be any better.

Tap @ MBCT Green Session. Pours dark and deep red, no foam to talk about. Pretty amazing, deep, sweet, lots of berries here, utterly satisfying syrupy nose. Taste is sweet of course, lots of berry juice (or syrup if to be more exact), honeycomb and light-light bitterness there. If you like fruited meads then this one is pretty much as good as it gets. Awesome!

Very sweet intense berry character. Sweet with modest acidity. Very rounded. Big linger berry finish. Slightly warming. Very good

0,05l from tap at MBCC Red Session 2018. reddish / brown color, no head. smells strong of berry notes, some marzipan, some honey, some blueberries, light cakeish notes, lovely smell. full body, no carbonation, rather oily mouthfeel. tastes of berry notes, some honey, rather sweet, light earthy. finishes rather sweet with notes of berry notes, honey and some spongy cake notes. very very nice one, I am not that big into meads but this is great 9, 4, 9, 4, 17
