Bottle @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen. Pours pitch black with a small shortlasting dark brown head. Aromas of cinnamon, coconut, vanilla, fudge, dough, cocoa, dark chocolate, caramel, chilies in the back. Definitely get the barrel characters, but not overwhelming. Taste is bourbon up front, cinnamon, dry cocoa, chilies, walnuts, burned wood, fudge, roasty, light boozy, dry finish. I had hoped for wayyyy more barrel. Expected Assassin + MC but still a very nice beer.
15-12-18 // bottle shared with Hopfenjünger. Pitch black. Minimal dark brwon head. Two layer nose. First wood and barrel, mild bourbon. Then dark hazelnut chocolate. Lovely aromas. Lots of chili still present. Loads of bourbon notes still present. Maybe not as soft, not much vanilla as when fresher but definitely bourbon. Boozy, mild biting alcohol notes but well embedded. Long lsting finish. Chili stays. This is still fantastic considering the age.

At Pre-Borefts tasting. Black inky pour. Incredible aroma of thick bourbon vanilla, caramel fudge, milk chocolate and mocha. Flavor is thick and rich, with lots of bourbon vanilla, caramel fudge, mild spices, milk chocolate, soft green pepper, caramelised malt and a long bourbony finish with a soft balanced chili afterburn. Extreme flavors, all in smooth balance, this is close to perfection.
Bottle, rating #5555. Black color with a tiny beige ring. Aroma is cinnamon, cocoa, molten chocolate, vanilla. Taste is cinnamom, cocoa, vanilla, spicy finish with nice balance. Low to medium carbonation, silky mouthfeel with a comparably light body. Everything is incorporated in a perfect way, and it stays drinkable. Incredible beer. This might be the perfect Imperial Stout, it's a bit less intense in the body and sweetness than the Dark Lord de Muerte which I've had recently. And I love the Cinnamon & Chili flavours in general.
Bottle @ Pre-Borefts tasting. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized yet quickly diminishing brown colored head. Aroma is malts, heavy (too heavy imo) vanilla up front, some bourbon. Taste malts, bourbon, but again way too much vanilla imo, peppers, light pepper burn. Hmm not my kind of beer I guess.
Sampled from bottle at pre-borefts tasting. Black with light tan head. Big deep roasted chocolate malts, coconut, roasted peppers, bourbon, vanilla. Extremely soft feel. Lovely. Moderate sweet and bitter, quite spicyyyy. Full supple body. Amazing stuff. Shit is on fiiiire!
