A full flavoured porter with a sweet malty aroma. Driven by a complex roasty malt and black treacle character whilst being pleasantly bitter with citrus and some spices from the hops.

Cask (handpump) @ Cloisters, 26 Brougham St, Edinburgh, Scotland EH3 9JH. [ As Abbeydale Black Bishop ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate, roasted, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140316]
