Like the elusive spider, this beer has been waiting patiently for the past 22 months to spring forth and show its fangs! What started off as an unassuming English-style mild ale was transformed in oak barrels with the help of some wild yeast, bacteria, and time. For 19 months, this little brown ale rested in barrels, accumulating layers of complexity with each season that passed. When the time came to blend the barrels, a gallon of local Sticky Pete’s maple syrup was added. For an additional 3 months the wild yeast and bacteria gorged themselves on the sugar-rich maple syrup.
