--Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. -- Cloudy orange colour, small head. Generous aroma of lychee and apricot. Sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Honey, apricot and lychee, pineapple and white pepper. Warming finish. Low bitterness.
Taster at Foley Bros. Cloudy golden pour, thin white head. Hoppy aroma, woody, pine, earthy. Taste is all about the hops too, although supported by some creamy toffee malts. Resiny, piney, sweet, sticky. Real nice.
Can. Very hazy orange with a good inch of white head that lasts OK. Looks to be a precipitate in the bottom 1/2cm of the glass. Aroma of oranges, pineapple, only hints of passionfruit (Galaxy IMHO doesn't often travel), chewed crackers. Sweet with some apricots, earth and menthol too. Certainly broodingly fruity with a dryish if muffled (due to the sludge) slightly bitter finish. No burn at the end though. Very strong indeed for what it offers.
Smaakt naar hop, een beetje harsig, zoet, bitter, goed. Een heel klein beetje thee, maar dan wel een goeie kop thee en geen verlept zakje.
Hazy golden pour with a white head. Tropical fruit, passion fruit, unripe melon, some resinous hops, floral.
19/X/20 - 1Pt. can from De Gebrande Winning (St. Truiden), shared @ ElManana’s place, BB: n/a (2020-985) Thanks to Raf for the can!
Pretty cloudy blond yellow beer, big creamy bit irregular white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, dank hops, little malty, onions, cheesy, some sweaty feet. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, quite some tropical fruits, nice bitterness, juicy, mango, lovely. Aftertaste: bit malty, tropical fruits, grapefruit, sweet tropical fruits, more dank hops, good bitterness, lovely stuff!
Pours unclear blonde, medium sized, very pillowy, medium high stability white head. Smell is medium intense, floral, creamy. Taste is creamy, mild bitterness. Floral, more so than fruity. Not bad.
Can. Color: Very hazy golden, like orange juice. Large stable white head. Aroma: Hoppy, citrus and orange. Taste: Nice amount of hopbitterness, Medium to over medium bitter. Moderate sweet, smooth malty background. Accompanied by fruity notes of orange, orangepeel, grapefruit, pine, some tropical fruit. Long lasting bitter finish. Medium to over medium body, just below average carbonation. Boozy hints. Bit atringent and dry-ish moithfeel. I like the bitterness of this Imperial IPA.
Can at home. Hazy yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma is malts, quite resinous hoppy. Flavor also is delicious: malts, resinous hoppy, resinous hoppy bitter. Light citrus and perhaps a note of tropical fruit but definitely overtaken by the resinous hoppy flavors and bitterness. Quite lovely. Medium to full body and carbonation. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Very nice.
