16 February 2020. At In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst. Cheers to Anke & Pieter! Pours clear golden-orange with a lasting, very thin, off-white head. Aroma of unripe apricot, gooseberry, lemon, wet hay, wood, white grape. Taste has sour plum & gooseberry, supplemented by lemon acid; bitter profile of hay, straw & wood, somewhat funky with a bready touch. Dry, woody, grape-like bitterness, old floral hops, soft fruity tones still shining through, very subtle funkiness & a hint of white wine-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. A delight!

Bottle bb 12/36. Amber with a loose white head. Aroma of brooding woody funk, toast, lemons. Mellow. And maybe I can actually taste apples. Only a little sour with both sweet and tart fruit, enduring funk. Lovely but lacks a little edge.
