Cask at the Fox Hole, Piercebridge as Yard of Ale FHB (Fox Hole Bitter). Brown amber colour, off-white foam head leaving lacing and tangy malty nutty aroma. Taste is malt, nutty, some chocolate, milky hints and roasted notes. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry malty nutty finish. Quite OK.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, sweet, fruity - berry, anis. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, berry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100118]
