Bottled@PBF VIII. Deep ambery brown to black colour, small brown head. Toasted and some ashes with sweet alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same into a nice roasted and and liquorice bomb. A bit one dimensional

Bottled at PBF. near black, minimal head. Citric licorice aroma. Sweetish with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some grapefruit and tobacco, but most flavours seem contained behind plastic. Big and bold. Dull.

Bottle @ Armin’s house, courtesy of doodler. Thanks so much, Scott! Deep black appearance with a small, dark brown head. Super roasty, anise, dark chocolate, light vanilla, black licorice aroma. Rich dark chocolate, vanilla bean, big anise, oaky flavor with a bit of a bitter finish. Quite tasty brew.

Bomber. Black body with deep brown highlights. Frothy tan head, mostly diminishing. Thick aroma of dark chocolate, mild coffee, roasted malts, resin and alcohol. Hint of earthiness and peat. The flavor is lighty bitter, moderately sweet and lightly acidic. It finishes moderately bitter, moderately sweet and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium to full body, oily texture and lively carbonation. The beer starts sweet with tastes of chocolate, maple sugar, cherry, but ends with some hints (and mouthfeel) of ash, metal and alcohol. Those aren’t distracting enough to drag the beer down too much. It’s still a nice sipping imperial stout.
