Würzig malziger Antrunk, angenehm, geringe Intensität gemessen am Alkohol und der Lagerung. Leicht röstig, wenig schokoladig, verhalten. OK aber nicht besonders. 10/10/10/11/10/10
Tap @ pre-ZBF 2010. Same background as the speyside Slight other whisky notes, less peat. More rounded and balanced.
Good dark-beige head over pitch-black beer. Rather sweetish stout nose; nuts and liquorice, coffee, mushrooms. Wood, liquorce, sweet coffee. Whisky comes out retronasal. Sweet hazelnuts finishing, and a whiff of mint. Alcoholwarming. Thick, velvety MF, but nowhere viscous. Quite balanced, but not really explosive with flavours. Discreet, bit sweet, good barrel-aged stout.
Bottle 375ml.Clear dark black to brown color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, wood - wood sour, alcohol - whisky notes. Flavor is light heavy sweet, light light acidic and light heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic and warm. [20091023]
