Pours hazy dark brown with a small brown head. Aromas of citrus, caramel, leathery, bready, funky. Taste has lots of sweet dark fruits, toffee, dark malts, orange finish.

B STRICTLY SPEAKING THIS IS NOT LAMBIC, as it contains no wheat! /B Yellow-cream dense head, over fully muddy reddish brown beer. Alcohol/wine-drenched wood, dried fruit, raisins, hint at chocolate (with raisins), lactic acid; other lightly sourish fruit. Sour, some barnyard odour, leather. Finish is really sour, lactic acid, burning. Again sour, unripe grapes, or raisins on lactic and citric acid. Vinous. Acidburn, acidthinning, extreme. Lot of acid here. The use of coloured malts is remarkable, interesting.

Very powerful charred oak character, bitter, subtle roast. A weird one. Nice name, though. 3.6

Brown lambic, one of several continuations of last year's Nocturne, bottle at Lambik-O-Droom. Creamy, lightly lacing, stable, pale greyish beige head, hazy burgundy reddish brown robe. Aroma of walnuts (quite strongly so), young dry sherry, balsamico, hazelnut oil, dried blueberries, plum peel, vanilla-ish oak wood, hay, dry tree branches, red wine vinegar. Crisp, tart onset, sour grapes, plum, unripe berry wryness, soft carb, finely tingling; walnutty, bit caramelly malt base, dried by a ongoing soft sourness with a balsamico-ish edge, ending very woody and tannic with lingering nutty malt sweetishness covered in dusty, sherry-ish lambic features. Very oud bruin-like, with the lambic acidity and funkiness embedded in a soft, sweetish malt character. Delicious and unique.
