Etwas schlammig. Interessant, aber nicht wirklich gut. 11/9/9/9//9
Draught @ pré-ZBF 09 @ Alvinne: Alvinne-Struise beerfest.Light unclear dark red amber color with a large, frothy - creamy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, fruity, oak - vanilla, notes of flowers - perfume - soap - english porpurri toilet sniffer. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090306]
on tap at Pre-ZBF pours hazy orange and brown with a thin tan head. Aroma was sweet with a sour fruit note. Flavors were nice with some sweet malt and an earthy sourness in the finish. Very interesting and complex flavors in the finish that I couldn’t explain.
Draught Huge, very fine yellowish head, leaving textbook lace, over deep-red amber beer with slight haze. Pours like gushing from the tap. Almonds, perfume, toilet soap, rosepetals. Almonds, bit of oxydation, almondcake, rosewater. Medium bodied, very slick, pure gristfeel. Nice, if just a tad overperfumed. I was convinced rosewater had been added, until I learned about the violets...
