7 3 8 3 15 Draft at Billie's Craft Beer Fest '17. Black with a ring tan head. Aroma of roast, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. A black beer with a mid sized most good beige head. Aroma of mild smoked malt, bacon, coffee. Taste of bacon, Smoke, dark roasted malt, coffee, nice.
(Thank you!) Sampled draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. 90 % smoked malt. Black, nice solid dark mocha head. Nose is pure umami, soy sauce smoked gravy thick oily but an umami profile that actually appeals to me, the smoke, gravy, thickness makes it all work, strangely balanced & oddly easy to drink, smoked gravy, oily syrup, sludge, umami all the way, smoked, molasses hint. Thick oily but oddly drinkable. Surprised at how well this worked out, interesting, rich. Totem has a pretty impressive list of smoked beers so far, a style virtually absent in Belgium.
