No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Golden Blend can be aged for several decades. Traditional lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised.
Nose: bright green apple. Palate: soft, oaky, horse blanket

Hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma has big cellar funk upfront, cobwebs, dust, blue cheese notes, oak and citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Lovely!

Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Date on bottle 2014/12/12. Slightly hazy amber with greyish ring head. Soft sour grainy, flinty and metallic funky, parmesan cheesy too and also grapey and quite dry. Medium body and soft carbonation. Bit ghostly dusty powdery feel to it. Very nice. Been staring 👀 at this bottle 🍾so many times with a wish to kill 🗡kill 🗡kill🗡. Love this. Been a major anchor point in my beer experience, only had a handul of times, big stuff.

Bottle shared thanks is to sjogro. Massive deep funk and wood. Super nice, no sign of age at all, soft crisp and fresh with at the same time dry tannins and oak that gives it depth. I like.

BB 12/03/2024. amber cloudy color, small white head. smells musty, citric, green apples, some funk, grassy, nutty, some marzipan, bit salty, quite lovely smell, especially after it got some air. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, musty, some funk, light sour fruits, quite salty, green apples, some wood, mineralic. finishes rather dry, rather sour and salty with notes of green apples, light sour fruits and notes of citrus. wasnt so amazed by the smell at first but after some breathing the smell improved quite a bit, lovely lovely taste. lovely refreshing especially for the ABV. 8, 4, 9, 5, 18

BB 12.03.2024. copper murky color, small white head. smells earthy, funky, cheesy, oak, barrel, citrus. lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, pepper, tobacco, oak, funky, cheesy, citrus, lime, almost salty. finshes dry and lightly sour with notes citrus, oak and peppery notes. lovely, because of the color I thought this would be rather oxidized, but this is lovely. great beer. 9, 4, 8, 4, 18
