The friendship between Half Acre and Maine Beer Company and the good times we've shared have become as legendary as the Sapping Mammoth featured in our first collaboration. Expanding on this partnership, we felt it was time for the story to continue with the Son of Sapping Mammoth. For this beer we brewed an IPA featuring Midwest-grown grain as a tribute to our Chicago friends. We hope you enjoy!

Can shared by Jim at Salud, thanks! Hazy yellow color white head. Floral haystack aroma. Taste is bitter floral hay and straw. Awesome

Draught @ City Hops. Cloudy bright orange with very small frothy whitish head, sweet orange/peach aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter orange-apricot taste, thin body, long dry finish. Quite a dry IPA.

Bottle. Citrus, grassy hop nose, herbal, with light pale malts. Simplish flavor, touch of resin, grassy hops, citrus. Body is a bit flat and that seems to hurt it. Nice enough but overshadowed on this day.
