Grégoire Ferré, passionate since his youth by arboriculture and cider processing, first worked with his parents, dairy farmers in Mauves-sur-Huisne in the perche, who had diversified in 1980 by planting the first orchards of apple cider. At the end of the 2000s, barely in his thirties, Grégoire Ferré decided to give full rise to the Percheron cider business and decided to found the La Maison Ferré brand.

Gregoire Ferré left his familial farm in 2009 and crossed the valley in the Perche part of Normandy to purchase 60 hectares. This farm has 24 hectares of orchards both apples and pears, 30 hectares of cereals and the rest pastureland for beef. The previous owner of Gregoire’s farm produced calvados but not cider, which Gregoire began in 2010. Nowadays, the operation is in Organic Farming and has 38 hectares of high-stem and low-stem orchards. More than 35 varieties of cider apples are cultivated there, Grégoire Ferré is looking for old varieties from Perche and Normandy, and diversity.
