Established in 2005, Jackie O’s Brewery has evolved over the years to include an experimental brewpub, Public House restaurant, Production Brewery & Taproom, Bake Shop and the Barrel Ridge Farm – all of which are located in Athens, Ohio / Southeastern, Ohio. Specializing in brewing techniques that revive traditional methods, we also incorporate contemporary elements and influences. We strive to brew one of the most diverse beer portfolios in the country, with a detailed and unique focus on barrel & wood aged beers, wild ales, and blending.

Bottle thanks to George. Pours a hazy orange with medium off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong raspberry, wheat, vanilla, oak. Thin mouth, very tart raspberry, vanilla, oak, very light, really good.

Dark brown, thin brown film. Aroma full of bourbon, vanilla, nicely alcoholic. Taste is also strong, alcohol kicking. Brown sugar strong, caramel. Finish is a bit harsh, dry tongue. Sharp stuff, good.

bomber. big bourbon nose, vanilla, cream, caramel, chocolate. Cloudy dark brown with lace. Flavors of bourbon, chocolate, booze, vanilla, brown sugar, licorice. Low carbo and a bit thin, but tasty.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head. The aroma is strong wine, grape, funk, oak. Medium mouth, oak, vinous, brett, tart finish, good.

pitch black color, flat, no head. Huge bourbon, vanilla, oak, brown sugar. Caramel and nuts. Lovely. Low carbonation lots of vanilla, brown sugar, roasted malt, boozy, licorice. A bit light and boozy. Lacks roasted character. 3.8 nice depth, but not sure it’s constructed as good as it could be.

Draught @ CBC 2015 [ Green Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015, Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark [ As Jackie O’s Bourbon Barrel Oil Of Aphrodite ].Clear dark black color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, bourbon, laber larver, wood, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, bourbon - vanilla, laber larver, chocolate, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20150502]

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate yeasty, berliner weiss aroma, yeast, fruity yeast, fruity, light lactic. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, tart, fruity, berliner weiss yeast flavor. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20150501]
