Draught No head, hazy orange liquid. Higher alcohols, dried fruit as -indeed- peach or apricot. Sweet sherry-like. As a strong sherry with lots of sugars unfermented yet. Banana, peach. Rich, liqueurish, alcoholheat and -thinning, "under"carbonated. Good!! The sherry is really present. Which puzzles me, as the caption spoke about Sauternes BA Ã nd Pedro Jimenez.
Draught Small rim left over faintly carbonated golden beer. Sweet-grapey, raisins or sultanas, sweet grains & malts, dried peach or pineapple. Bitter onset, relieved by not that discreet carbonation. Again grains, breakfast cerials, if with a more greenery finish, almost suggesting acidity. Light body, surprisingly; better carbonated than it looks. Grew on me. Not a classical tripel in any way, but far from bad.
Draught Small white rim over lightly yellowish golden beer, bit still. Preserved citrus, winegrapes, demi-sec white wine, faint ureum, garden herbs. Sourish, fine sour berries, ditto grapes, white wine lightly soured with lactic acid and a touch of rhubarb. Medium bodied, bit undercarbonated if certainly not lifeless. Nice, quite OK hybrid.
Draught Small whitish rim left, over hazy brown-amber beer. Sweet, caramel, toffee, aromatic herbs (rosemary, lavender, thyme). Again caramel, preserved orange, orangeliqueur, red berries syrup, alcohol and some fusels. Rich, alcoholwarming, viscous, feels medium to well-carbonated. OK, if not spectacular.
Draught Small, stable rim over almost clear Bernsteinfarbiges beer. Not much aroma, bit of caramel. Dry caramel, if that rhymes, dry herbs, bit of straw, parsley. Light body, not very carbonated. Bit easy. But seen the fact that Anchor closes...
Draught Red-foxy-amber beer with fine pearling; no head. Sweet, raisins, a very strong fruitliqueur on winebase. Sweet, if dominated by a fiery alcoholflavour. Again raisins, partly roasted as in raisinbread, old brandy or Armagnac, prunes. Faint woody bitterness. Very "hot", rich, seeping voluptuous party dried fruit, alcoholheat especially backthroat. Fiery. That's the word. Must try.
Draught Yellow cream head, stable and lacey over pitch-black beer. Sweet roast, pecan nuts, BBQ sauce, ketjap. Dry, sweetish hints of ketjap underneath dry meatroast. Again (roasted) nuts as pecan, Brasil or walnut. Bit metallic finish, the New World hops featuring throughout. Well-bodied, without being really rich; medium to good carbonation. Quite good, an American taster would feel at home.
Draught Stable yellow-cream head over fully opaque brown-black beer. Roast, roasted grains (wheat, barley), hint of coffee and chocolate. Sweet roast, coffee-like bitterness. Dry finish, almost charcoal-like, but not overwhelming. Feels better bodied than it probably is. Slick and really dry finish. Nice, if not quite the black cow's milk.
Draught No head, almost clear metallic peach-coloured beer. Nice horseblanket aroma, with a whiff of ginger and preserved lemon. Sour, rhubarb in force, horseblanket, farmyard, lemon. Lipsmacking acidity, acidthinning, refreshing, light body, low carbonation. Nice, lambic is just balanced, mals .
