330ml can. Pours a clear gold yellow with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick, soapy curtains of lace. Mild fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, orange, peach and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, tangerine, cantaloupe, mango and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Just ok.
330ml can. Pours a hazy blonde with a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready pale malt, orange peel, pineapple, peach and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, grapefruit, mango, pineapple and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily to watery texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and refreshing.
Hazy IPA (though only typified as ‘US style’ by the brewery), from tap at Bar Beenhouwer. Snow white, creamy, firm, medium sized, membrane-lacing head on a hazy straw blonde robe with somewhat greenish tinge. Aroma of lime zest, starfruit, guava, meringue, unripe pineapple, lemonbalm, grapefruit peel, touch sweet onion, freshly cut grass. Sweetish-fruity onset with light sourish undertone, guava- and lime-like accents, green mango, fizzily carbonated with smooth, slick and supple body. Aromatic hoppiness of course – starfruit, guava, lime zest, touch lychee, deeply penetrating a slender pale maltiness and leaving a mild peppery bitterness behind, along with something powdery (no hop burn though). Nicely streamlined New England-ish IPA.
Can from Stacks.
