0,75l at home. Bottled 19.12.2020. Yellow almost clear color, small white head. Smells earthy, grassy, bit vinous, stone fruits, hay. Nice to very nice smell, rather subtle. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes grassy, earthy, funky, cheesy, some wood, bit lactic, oak, bit vinous, tannins. Finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of tannins, stone fruits and some hay. Hmm, good, but not the best Tommie, very subtle and mellow, leaning a bit toward lactic notes, lacks some complexity, this might either be good at 5% abv or with a tad more complexity. Still good stuff though.

‘Coupage’ of a hoppy saison with an aged sour ale; at Ghent Beer Fest. Off-white ring of small, loose bubbles rather than a true head, hazy apricot blonde robe with ‘dirty’-orangey tinge. Aroma of sour apple, unripe mandarin, dried grapefruit peel, green gooseberry, raw rhubarb, dry hay, sherry vinegar, sourdough, lemon zest, wet old oak wood, dust. Very fruity-estery onset, tart with sweetish notes hidden within, sour grape and green apple, unripe plum note, lime-like edge, quite zesty and colourful; soft carb, smooth and bit vinous mouthfeel. Sourdoughy and bread-crumb-like malt core under lingering tart fruitiness (sour grape, gooseberry, rhubarb) gradually acquiring hoppy notes of lemonbalm, old grapefruit peel and hay, indeed adding a bit of citrus pith-like, spicy bitterness, but only very mildly so, in any case much more mild than expected when seeing the name ‘Bitter’; still a very pleasant, accessible but interesting, refreshing and elegant sour ale – as usual from this producer.

Orangey copper beer with a medium, yellowish head. Peach, peach liqueur, aromatic herbs, sweetish wafts. Sweet, again fruity-peach, nectarine, other green/yellow fruit, bitterish (crab)apples. Medium bodied, despite the acidthinning, soft carbonation. Pretty good, nice fruity esters, if a tad to the sweet side.

Pours a completely clear amber colour and an off white head with zero retention. Aroma's: sourish, just slightly funky, and I get a hint of butter? Retronasal it's sourish, woody/tnnine, vinous - a bit sherry-like. Flavour is sour with light sweetness. Light bodied. Good carbonation. Finishes with something like liquor, but that's probably the vin jaune.
