Clear golden, stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of maize, grain, wet straw, yeast, white bread. Taste has light sweet pear & maize, white-bready maltiness, bit grainy bitter. Grassy hops, grain & yeast in the finish. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Drinkable without real off-flavours so common in industrial Lagers, just not very intense.

14 October 2021. At Breg's, Korbach. Cheers to the lovely Anke!

Hazy brown-amber, big, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of pear, red apple, dried banana, caramel, biscuit, clove, pepper, vague sorrel (or even 'lamb's lettuce' - dixit Anke). Taste has sweet apple & banana in a biscuity, caramelly malt body with spicy clove, some toast. Herbal hoppy finish, spicy, dried fruit, vague sourish wheat & sorrel notes in the back. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Bit of a weird herbal, rather than wheaty acidity but it goes down nicely.

Hazy ochre, stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of ripe banana, yellow apple, clove, white bread, wheat, nutmeg, vague grass. Taste has sweet banana & apple over doughy, bready maltiness, bit spicy & wheaty sour. Floral & grassy hoppy finish, lingering yellow fruit & bread. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Grassy notes tone down the estery sweetness, recommended.

Clear amber, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of hard caramel, brioche, plum, red apple, iron, vague tobacco leaves. Taste has sweetish plum & apple, soft caramelly maltiness, bit nutty & herbal. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering soft notes of toast & caramel. Light to medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Nice to find another example of the style.

13 October 2021. At Bialy Kamien, Świeradów-Zdrój. Cheers to the lovely Anke!

Hazy black, stable, frothy, beige head. Aroma of caramel, fudge, toast, dried fig, prune. Taste has sweet raisin, fig & pear, caramelly, almost dark fudge-like maltiness, bit toasty. Low herbal hoppy finish, dark fudge & dried fruit. Medium body, slick-syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Not refined, but enjoyable, certainly compared to a lot of regular Pale Lagers...

12 October 2021. At BeerGeek Bar, Prague. Cheers to the lovely Anke!

Cloudy black, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of fondant, brownie, hazelnut, chestnut, leather, peated whisky, tobacco, dried fig. Taste has sweet fig, date & prune in a chocolatey malt body along bitter toast & hazelnut-flavoured mocha, interwoven with leathery & smoky notes. Earthy hoppy finish, some umami soy, clove, fondant, ashy tobacco & heating peated whisky alcohol. Full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Very good although the Scotch could have been even more outspoken.
