Deep large modern looking bar, felt bit too large and slightly posh. Two waitresses present which seemed a bit much so they had to awkwardly stand for most of the time. I got a whole bottle of water instead of glass, nice. Prices were reasonable. I had a weirdly cheap Bevog beer – cheaper than at the brewery. Waitresses didn’t seem to be familiar with the beer, tried also an okay priced Greek RIS. Some interesting Greek beers and rather surprising international selection with beers like Pinta and Siren. Needs to be a bit more full to be a bit more comfy probably. Definitely some good beers to be found but felt like the place needed bit more of an identity than this odd posh restaurant vibe.

Service was really friendly and as such I feel bad about rating this lovely. 3 beers available upon visit, interior looked quite like a mess, oddly painted, fermenters and “ironic” communist memorabilia. Very centrally located, very cheap prices 2.50 euro for my large lager pour, 3.50 for the IPA and Stout. The problem here is the beer was really awful, totally infected, huge unpleasant dishwasher soap taste, rancid, if this guy run a restaurant he would be in prison. The chips were also strangely soggy, friendly service ‘tough.

What a really strange place, the skull logo on the outside, black walls and metal-esque murals that seemed to be brainstormed by a 14 year old’s idea of a cool metal bar. I also got served in French – I have absolutely no idea as to why? Friendly service tough, almost all taps and they had a lot were macro rubbish, lager largely but also about 5 taps from Sknipa, surprisingly large selection, Sknipa taps were quite pricy but their beers seemed expensive elsewhere as well. Some interesting cans and bottles in the fridge but also things like Hobgoblin. Large televisions, bar in the middle of the room so you can sit on all sides, black, dark green, dark brown interior. Just weird, couldn’t make heads or tails of it. Music wasn’t metal either more like some vague rock I didn’t know, very odd.

Large bar, friendly service, popcorn snack, spacious almost vaguely British looking, music at solid volume but I picked to sit inside. Solid music installation too. Taps were all macro except for one Septem tap which seemed to be quite recent. One common craft beer available and meh atmosphere at time of visit.

Large beautiful terrace on which I sat. This is the kind of bar that has many things which should make it great and it is largely a good bar but also has minor things which disappoint. For starters menu was a bit of mess, I picked a beer of the board indicating can / bottle selection but that board was no longer valid for anything. I scanned the QR code / website and first beer on list was also out and one of the beers had the wrong brewery name listed, menu said Seven Island instead of Sori. They had some hype beers on tap mixed with some lagers etc. in a non-logical order. All taps seemed to be not the best that breweries offered like had a quite lackluster Kykao IPA. Service was on the slow end. Interesting taps but also bit of a lottery and could use a bit more attention for the product.

Small bar in / very near to lively nightlife section of town. Limited opening hours and it was closed when I tried for a second visit. One tap available – Ali Pilsner – owner has good contact with the brewery and the condition of that beer was excellent. 3 fridges of beer with fun cans and bottles to pick from, owner was happy go give explanation, got some style descriptions wrong but that may have been a language barrier. Great chat with the owner, music was metal and whilst talking about Iron Maiden – I mentioned the Russian Iron Mainden-like band Aria which he put on the bar. Lovely person and service. He had beers like the new Strange Brew /Hop Hooligans collaboration.

Close to the Agia Sophia, lively bar & very red inside light and decoration, music, lots of younger people. Visited later at night on a workday. Nice service, got a glass of water with ice cubes (nice) and popcorn. Handful of taps, Punk IPA and macros, got a large Alfa. Place promises 200 beers but they’re all just stuff like Chouffe, Leffe, Newcastle etc. Looked fun enough but no interest in this place beer-wise really. They also do lots of cocktails, liquor, liquor selection looked same as beer selection, plenty of things but nothing of interest.

Visited twice with almost a week in-between. Got served by the owner George on the second visit. The Hoppy Pub was a legendary bar in the early beer geek days. I was not disappointed in the least. George tries to offer quality craft beer at affordable prices no longer searching every ridiculous hype these days. There are already enough bars just buying anything pricey that gets a high Untappd score. Tap has a good selection covering many styles from a fun Greek kettle sour, interesting 15 % Greek RIS, Ayinger Kellerbier, local IPA, Amager IPA, Schenkerla etc. Prices are fair, service on first visit was good, service by George was beyond, got several free beers on top. George is ridiculously knowledgeable about the beer scene, familiar with breweries in Belgium that you would not expect anyone in Greece to know about – they even had Dok on tap here. By very far the best bar in town and in surroundings. One beer from an Athense microbrewery which they had just gotten did have heavy dyacetyl but on the other hand Dunkel from same brewery was in amazing shape and got it for free, every other tap and tried about 10 was excellent, Septem 8th Day IPA was in by far best shape I have had anywhere else. Snacks were popcorn and salt sticks. Peak place, lots of Amager in fridge and some local cans etc. Snacks available.

Brewery / warehouse look and feel, located in Schaerbeek. Not a huge amount of isolation or anything, they did their best but it still has a warehouse look to it. La Mule founded by a former De La Senne brewer specializes in German beer styles, unicum in Belgium. I have mixed feelings about their canned beers but their draft beers are awesome. Pils was amazing when visiting here as was the Weisse and bar special only was also nice. Their whole draft selection at the time plus one was available. Prices were very good, beer was awesome, service was good, tables etc. were a bit high and there was a brewery dog. They do concerts, events etc. here. Wish there was a way to make it a bit more cozy here but the beer is truly outstanding and at a good price.

Visited during Tour de Geuze 2012. Gorgeous modern in built but lovely old fashioned brown bar, lots of wood, looks awesome. There were also chairs outside and terrace was very pleasant. There was also a show where they sold their regular beers plus mangums of Oude Geuze Devillé for the reasonable price of 22 euro. Their regular range plus lambiek range was available.
Menu had also coffee, soda etc. We sat on the terrace in general, good service, great atmosphere, reasonable prices. Lovely. Old lambiek or geuze didn't do it too much for me but their young (dated 1+ back which seemed impossibly young) was amazing.
