Big terrace, located at the main square, quite a bit of place inside. Extensive menu of snacks, food, cakes etc. Tried a vegan world mix which was like bitterballen but the mix was deep-fried curry etc. Pretty funny. Beer menu was a bit more interesting than expected, yes there is Jupiler, Duvel, Leffe etc. but they also had Mooie Nel & a Viven IPA on top. Okay prices.

Gorgeous brown bar interior but upkept, modern almost looking in a great way with some history apparently. Friendly service, great atmosphere. Some small surprises on the menu & amazingly La Rulles on tap which I have never seen before in Flanders. Owner informed us that La Rulles is only brewery that gets to use Orval yeast which isn’t exactly true, they haven’t gotten Orval yeast in over a decade but did originally, I believe Gengoulf also uses Orval yeast. Doesn’t matter, awesome chill place with some lovely beers from De La Senne etc.

Primarily a wine place. We took place outside, very friendly service, beer selection is more interesting than a lot of beer bars with De Ranke, Verzet, De La Senne etc. Dok beer brewed for them on tap which was best Dok beer I have had so far. Limited bottles of Druug, Eylenbosch etc. also available. Druug cider on tap in wine sizes. Tried the picled radish & deepfried oystermushroom both of which were beyond expectation and really good. They also had the option to get Verzet pilsner with tepache & chili which was awesome. Really cool products, quality, very tasty food, awesome place, will definitely return.

Visited the Huzarenhof which is their summer bar, open instead of their regular bar. Lovely garden setting, beach chairs, picric tables, BBQ happening including vegan option. Really good location, relaxing, okay price. Fridge with cans and bottles, Redor pils, Stroom beer, Surrealist one (older bottle),… A few less obvious choices. Slightly eccentric service in a fun way. Toilet had also a shower and unclear directions, wound up at someone’s terrace. Peak as far as summer bars go for sure.

Located on the main square and encompassing about 3 buildings now including one which was historically the post office. Very large terrace and complex, lots of servers but still slightly scatter dash service. Bit tacky music, lots of food option, vegetarian also, most people were eating “broodje kroket”. Largely uninteresting selection at eh prices, Brugse Zot, likes of Leffe but luckily also Westmalle. About what you would expect.

Located in the old building of Brouwbar but with more space inside now that there is no longer brewing equipment inside. A popular street with lots of horeca, this place is mean to cater to the more casual drinker. Tap is virtually all Dok plut a cider from Druug, last of Brouwbar, 1 wine, 3 lemonades and water. Got an Oud Bruin made for the opening of this location. Okay prices, friendly service, nice brand-new hipster interior, wine selection available and apparently a choice of special 750 ml. bottles but didn’t investigate that. Definitely worth a stop and a beer, wonder how the place will evolve.
