A nice bottle/can shop in the best spot of the city Groningen (Folkingestraat). The selection is on 1 wall, a table and a fridge. Though finding your beers might be a challenge as the sorting is not the most intuitive. This is also part of the fun, suddenly finding what you were looking for in a place you did not expect.
Other than some local beers all beers are worth buying.

Typical Dutch liquor store with a nice selection of about 700 beers. Quite some locals, and especially a lot of imperial stouts. The owner also brews his own beer at Eem brouwerij. Very friendly and knowledgeable service.

Visiting with the whole family (2 grown ups, 2 kids) in the early stages of the 2020 Corona Quarantine Lockdown, we were welcomed on the private grounds of this lovely family, where our kids joined other kids already jumping on a trampoline while the grownups had a little tour and conversation with the owners, who I had emailed if it were possible to come by and pick up some bottles. Very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful garden, lovely area. Besides ciders also a selection of wines. It was suggested to let the bottles rest for a few weeks more and I still have them waiting in my cellar. Curious!

Very much a neighbourhood bar – I doubt you will find yourself at random here. Looks amazing tough, corner building with lots of red brick, huge window with their logo, billiard table green accents and new woods. Not big by any measure but the corner is quite large so lots of space for the terrace which I assume is due to current Covid measures but it works out quite well. Reminds me vaguely of original Moeder Lambiek due to being very much just a local BXL bar, I doubt many non-locals venture here. 8 taps, beers available in 25 cl. , 33 cl. & 50 cl. L’Ermitage, De La Senne, De Ranke, Dupont & No Science on tap at fair prices. There is no debating with that tap list. One UK brewery new to me, despite the cellar in the name, bottle list is not wild but plenty of good in line with the taps. Not essential but definitely fun. Very charming place. Some snacks like olives, sausage etc. available.
